TAT supports additional DTE trades (1 DTE, 7 DTE, etc) and also multiple other symbols in addition to SPX.
Additional Symbols
SPX is enabled by default when TAT is installed. To enable trading and market data for additional symbols, go to the Settings > Market Data tab in TAT. Select the additional symbol you wish to trade from the "Add/Edit Symbol Configuration" setting and click Save Symbol. (For IBKR, you can enable Reuqired DTEs and Extended Quote Strikes if necessary, as described below.)
Longer DTE Trades
Starting with v4.4.81 or higher, TAT will automatically manage the market data subscriptions for all of your trades, regardless of DTE. TAT previews upcoming scheduled trades and will add data subscription requests. You no longer need to specify which DTE's you need data for when trading scheduled trades.
For example, if you open a 5/7 DTE calendar on Friday at 3:45pm, TAT will subscribe to 5 and 7 DTE options quotes at approximately 3:43 pm. When your scheduled trade entry is executed at 3:45pm, the necessary options prices will already be loaded and current. Once the trade entry process completes, TAT will drop those data subscriptions, except for the strikes used in the trade that are now open positions.
Required DTEs (IBKR/TradeStation Broker Data Only)
For IBKR and TradeStation broker data, which is loaded by individual strikes from the broker, if you wish to trade Instant trades or triggered trades, which could fire at any time during they day, you can enter one or more DTEs as Required DTEs. When these are provided, TAT will subscribe to that data all day, even if there are no upcoming trades that TAT sees on the schedule, just in case there might be a triggered trade.
TradeStation Broker Data Note: If you have trade early exit conditions that depend on delta, you will need to include the DTEs of those open trades as Required DTEs so that TAT keeps the TradeStation options chain stream active to receive the updated delta values.
Extended Quote Strikes (IBKR Broker Data Only)
With IBKR, the number of "lines" or strikes of data that can be subscribed to are limited. Due to this limitation, TAT will only request a limited number of strikes by default, that are common for 0 DTE credit spread trades. If you need to trade ITM trades or farther OTM trades, you may need to switch on Extended Quote Strikes and configure a higher number of OTM strikes to be loaded and available to TAT during trade selection.
Please note, adding additional Required DTEs data or Extended Quote Strikes will increase the number of “lines” of data requested from TWS and might exceed the amount of data included by IBKR. It might be required to buy a booster package of data.
Day of Week Schedules
You can also now set up scheduled entries to only trigger on selected days of the week, if appropriate. As mentioned above for 1 DTE trades you may want a 1 DTE trade scheduled to open Mon/Tue/Wed/Thur and a 3 DTE trade on Friday.
Extended Hours trading and Overnight Stops
SPX trading is possible overnight Sunday-Thursday nights at IBKR and TAT now allows you the ability to leave your stop order active overnight if you like. (Please be aware that liquidity is lower overnight and stops could experience higher than expected slippage. Using REL stops on short legs only or StopLimitOCO stop types are the only stop types supported. StopMarket orders are not supported during extended trading hours.)
You may also schedule trades to be opened or closed during extended trading hours, when trading with IBKR.
