TradeStation EU accounts do not have the required margin permissions to trade options credit spreads by default in a cash account. The process below is how TAT users at TradeStation can gain access to a "limited margin" level that will allow trading options with TAT
- Client applies for account from standard account opening link/landing page and selects appropriate country. *Note* When EU country is selected in application, there is no margin option available.
- Client will complete option trading section within application It will show levels available for cash accounts.
- Once user completes application, TradeStation will send them email with complex products questionnaire for them to complete electronically.
- Once returned their team has an automated process to add limited margin to the account at same time as approving options level.
You should receive the email with the complex products questionnaire automatically, if you create your account using the TAT account link. If you do not, please reach out to their customer support team and let them know you need to move to a "limited margin" account.
