TAT now natively supports trade triggers on range breakouts, such as opening range breakouts (ORB).
To set these trades up, under the Triggers menu there are options under the Entry Trigger for RangeBreakoutHigh and RangeBreakoutLow.
To configure the time that you want to use to set the range, configure the Range Start Time and Range End Time settings that appear in Entry Conditions. In the example below the the range is set from 9:30-10:30 AM.
The Execution Timing configures when trades should be triggered, if the underlying price moves outside of the range. The trigger will only be fire when a Open price prints above the RangeBreakoutHigh or below the RangeBreakoutLow. A wick past the high or low price that retreats during a 1 minute bar will not trigger.
If you wish to add an additional Entry Condition to the Range Breakout, that will also be evaluated and the trigger will only be fired on a bar Open beyond the range AND the entry condition(s) evaluating to true. If you want TAT to continue waiting for the Entry Condition to be true, be sure it is configured to retry.
