One of the key improvements in TAT MAX is automatic cloud backup for your TAT data. Instead of relying solely on a local database, TAT MAX securely backs up important information such as trade history, templates, schedules, and settings to the cloud. This provides added protection against losing your data if your computer or server fails, while also making it significantly easier to move your TAT setup between computers or servers.
NOTE: If you do not have a MAX level subscription, you will need to manually back up your database file. More information on that can be found here.
Cloud Backup
With a TAT MAX plan TAT will automatically upload your database to the cloud daily after the market closes. To ensure TAT uploads your data every day, you can enable Daily Backups option in the "Database Backup" page of your settings. On this page you can also use the instant back up option to upload your data to the cloud instantly as opposed to waiting for TAT to do it when the market closes.
Transferring TAT to a Different Computer/Server
With a TAT MAX plan, moving your TAT setup from one computer to another is much easier, without losing your settings, trade templates, or trade history. Since your data is stored in the cloud, there is no need to manually download and upload db3 files between devices.
To transfer your TAT setup, open the TAT Settings page on your new computer/server and navigate to the "Database Backup" page. At the bottom of the page, you will see your most recent cloud backups from your prior device, along with a Restore button.
Select the backup you want to use (likely the most recent backup) and click Restore to restore which will recover all of your TAT settings and data and restart. You can use the automatic daily backup created by TAT after the market closes, or use the Instant Backup option on your original computer to create a more up-to-date backup before switching devices.
