Close Trade on Stop Margin Rejection
The Close Trade on Stop Margin Rejection setting allows TAT to automatically attempt to close a trade if the stop order is rejected because of a margin-related issue. When enabled, TAT will recognize the margin rejection and attempt to close the position rather than leaving the trade open without the intended stop protection. This provides an additional layer of protection in situations where a stop order cannot be accepted by the broker. It is highly recommended to leave this enabled especially if you are not monitoring your positions during the trading day.
Close Trade Beyond Stop Price
The Close Trade Beyond Stop Price setting allows TAT to automatically close a trade if the underlying price moves beyond your defined stop price and the stop order has not executed as expected. The % Beyond Stop setting determines how far past the stop price the market must move before TAT begins the closing process, while Wait in Seconds determines how long TAT waits after the threshold is reached before submitting the closing order. The Close Order Type determines how the closing order is submitted. You can choose Market to prioritize closing the trade quickly or Progressive Limit to progressively adjust the limit order in an attempt to achieve a better fill. It is highly recommended to leave this enabled especially if you are not monitoring your positions during the trading day.
Missing Stop Notifications
The Missing Stop Notifications setting alerts you when TAT detects that a 0 DTE trade does not have the expected stop order in place. This can help you identify situations where a stop may have been rejected, canceled, or otherwise failed to remain active. These notifications provide an additional way to monitor your open trades and make sure the intended risk-management orders are in place. It is highly recommended to leave this enabled especially if you are not monitoring your positions during the trading day.
High Slippage Notifications
The High Slippage Notifications setting allows you to specify the amount of slippage that should trigger a notification. You enter a slippage percentage, and TAT will notify you when a trade experiences slippage at or above that percentage. This can help you monitor execution quality and identify trades where the actual fill differs significantly from the expected price. In the event of an obvious error execution price where you could request a trade or price adjustment you typically only have 30 minutes from the time of the fill to request it from your broker. Information on submitting trade busts can be found here.
Retry Trade on Margin Rejection (IBKR Only)
When disabled, if IBKR rejects your opening order because of a margin issue, the scheduled entry will be immediately closed and TAT will not continue trying to enter the trade. This helps prevent repeated entry orders from being submitted when they are likely to be rejected again. When enabled, TAT will retry the opening order after a margin rejection until the scheduled entry expires. This will likely result in repeated order rejections, which can create dozens of rejected orders or more, so this is not recommended unless you are actively monitoring your account and can free up buying power.
